Advocacy and Action
Local Friends – If you remember last week’s Update, I shared the story of local Imam Ayman Soliman who was granted asylum years ago only to have it revoked in June. His immigration hearing was scheduled for yesterday. I did not happen due to “internet issues” at the Butler County jail. And his wait continues…

Recently the USDA rescinded the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation rule, with no consultation with the Native American tribes it will impact. This will open these areas of tribal land to logging and other extractive industries. The Native Organizers Alliance is moving to turn this Agency Rule into a law. But, we with so much on legislator’s plates these days, they are asking for our help to bring it to the attention of our elected officials. Can you TAKE ACTION through their letter writing tool? Lend your voice in support of the First Nations peoples.

Democracy Watch
Ohio folks, did you contact Governor DeWine to demand he recall Ohio national guard troops from DC. You can send a message through Free DC. Recently, several high-ranking retired military persons have publicly stated that these actions are not in line with the oath taken by military personnel to the Constitution of the United States.
