Water Snapshot #7

Clean, running water is a luxury in many villages across the world. Waterborne diseases account for thousands of deaths each year.

Clean, running water is a luxury in many villages across the world. Waterborne diseases account for thousands of deaths each year.

Our Lenten series on the Clean Water for Life Project concludes today. Our hope was to share the need, the work and the opportunities to support this important effort. We are literally working to save lives while making known God’s goodness.

To summarize:

THE NEED for access to clean, safe, disease-free water is great around the world, especially in remote areas of Africa where our Sisters live, work and serve to make known the goodness of God.

THE WORK is being done here in the US and in the villages where technology for harnessing solar power to produce electricity and operate water filtration systems is designed, tested and installed.

THE OPPORTUNITY to learn more about this work is here.

PRAYER:

Dear Jesus, through the Clean Water Project, may we come to Easter with a greater love for you and one another. May our African and Latin American sisters and brothers experience much peace and joy through the blessings flowing from the Clean Water Project. Christ, risen from the dead, please continue to bless abundantly all those who have participated in this project. Amen! Alleluia!
