Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur
Live The Good Opportunity Rosary Making
The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur invite you to join our next Live The Good Opportunity. We will be making rosaries to be sent to an emergency shelter for asylum-seekers located in Phoenix, Arizona. This Opportunity will be held at the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
Sister Meg Walsh, SNDdeN, is actively involved in ministry at the emergency shelter. Asylum-seekers, many of whom are women with young children, have prior approval to enter the U.S. They arrive at the border and are bused to the shelter before they are taken to the airport. Their final destinations are where their host families await them. They are only at the shelter for 2 or 3 days.
All supplies for making rosaries will be provided. This activity is suitable for children ages 5 and older.
Sister Rita Sturwold, SNDdeN, will be leading us in opening prayer as well as reflection/discussion at the end of our time together.
