As the 2020 Lenten season draws to a close and Easter soon upon us, let us remember the words of St. Teresa of Avila, "Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which He looks with compassion on the world. Yours are the feet which He goes about doing good, and yours are the hands which He blesses all the world."
Although this is our last Lenten Snapshot this year, we'll continue to share updates from our Sisters in a weekly email. We hope you will share this Lenten Snapshot and Sisters' updates with your family, friends, students and/or faculty by email. Please know that you are in the Sisters prayers.

During these uncertain times, let us pray for:
- those without access to electricity or clean water.
- those who do not have the opportunity to go to school.
- those caught in the cycle of poverty and oppression.
- those who have lost their jobs and homes.
- those who are hungry and thirsty.
- those who struggle to provide for their families.
the grace to feel connected to the Body of Christ.
Whether it’s providing electricity and clean water in a remote village or providing a home and education to children orphaned by war — this is what the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Africa do.
They light the way. They help others find the goodness of God. Through their hands they uplift the less fortunate, and they show us how to do the same.
So we ask, will you help the Sisters help others find the goodness of God? And Jesus said to them,
“I assure you that whatever
you do for one another,
you do for Me.”
Please know that the Sisters are praying for you and for all those who are suffering or challenged by these difficult times.
Making known God’s goodness with you,
Sister Marie Smith, SNDdeN
