Sister Mary Ann Barnhorn, our long-time director of development, is one-of-a-kind. Her zest, her passion for the mission, her willingness to think big — have drawn so many to our cause and to our ministry. She has a signature and very direct way of making things happen.
So when Sister Mary Ann decided to retire, we went about finding a new director not necessarily as someone who would ‘replace’ her, but as someone who would bring a new set of gifts that could in their own right propel forward the Notre Dame mission.
We have found that person.
Mr. Kevin Manley, previously a philanthropy advisor for the Marianists, has accepted our offer to serve as the Ohio Province Director of Development. He started on October 22. Kevin has served as executive director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky, has worked with the American Cancer Society, and on top of that, is a marathon runner and high school baseball coach.
(As I said, a whole new set of gifts!)
Please welcome Kevin to his new position, and please know also that Sister Mary Ann has graciously offered to assist in our efforts going forward, especially in matters of spirituality.
Thank you for your partnership; all that we do, we do together with you.
Sister Carol Lichtenberg, SNDdeN
P.S. If you would like to speak with Kevin, he can be reached via email at [email protected] or by phone at 513-679-8117.
