Human Resources Director (full-time)

The primary purpose of your job position is to manage the Human Resources Department in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations and as directed by company policy and Administrator.

Benefit package starts at 20 hours a week and includes free Retirement, Life, and LTD. Dental and vision at a small premium.  You will also receive a PTO bank. 

Job Functions:

Supervisory Responsibility:
The Director directly supervises employee’s adherence to handbook policies.

Meets Requirements of Position (Physical, Education, Experience, Job Specific):

  • Efficient in recruitment, interviews, hiring, and new employee orientation
  • Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility and its premises.
  • Must be able to move intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Works beyond normal working hours, when necessary
  • Is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, facility surveys, etc.)
  • Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
  • Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset personnel.
  • Must possess knowledge of the laws, regulations and guidelines concerning Human Resources and Payroll.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care administration.
  • Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Must maintain the personnel department in a clean, safe and attractive manner.
  • Must be able to communicate personnel policies, procedures, regulations, and reports.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the positions can be fully met.
  • Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility, which include a medical and physical examination.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile people within the facility.
  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of sisters during emergency situations.
