Siddharta Gotama, who was the Buddha (the Enlightened One), was born around 2500 years ago. Throughout his life, he taught about loving kindness and compassion. What was he enlightened about? How can his method of meditation be helpful today to heal suffering and make us more peaceful and compassionate? Come experience a Buddhist meditation.
Brennan Hill, Ph.D., is married to Marie Hill, a marriage counselor and mediator. They have two grown children and three grand girls. Brennan studied at St. Bonaventure University, Catholic University of America, Cambridge, and Marquette University. He taught high school, college and adults for 45 years and is now Professor Emeritus at Xavier University. He has published 24 books and is now working on text for McGraw-Hill on Discovering World Religions: Their Connect with Ecology, Peace and Women’s Issues. He is a cook at the Catholic Worker House and minister for Hospice of Cincinnati.Back to Calendar
