Join us on this half-day Live the Good Volunteers mission experience to Cincinnati’s oldest neighborhood, Mt. Auburn, and home of Holy Name Catholic Church.

You likely know Holy Name’s history as an active and growing community. Established in 1904 by parishioners of St. Xavier and St. George, the present Holy Name Church was consecrated in 1951.  A school was added and with growth, students were moved to St. George School, which is now known as Corryville Catholic School. In 1990, our Sr. Elizabeth (Liz) Bowyer, SNDdeN, became the pastoral administrator. Although she moved on from those responsibilities in 2000 when elected to SND leadership, she continues to remain active at Holy Name.

On August 4, we’ll spend time inside painting and sprucing up rooms and rotate to outside work to garden and tidy up the exterior of the building.

Before and after our mission service, we’ll join together for reflections and refreshments. During this time, we’ll learn more about Holy Name’s work in the Mt. Auburn neighborhood and their impact on the community.  And of course, during our time together we’ll work together with Sisters.

Please join us August 4 from 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM.
