Books about prayer and theological reflection:

Praying Our Experiences, (2nd ed.), Joseph F. Schmidt. Published by St. Mary’s Press, Christian Brothers Publications, Winona, MN, 1989. This is a simple guide for bringing our everyday life to prayer.

The Art of Theological Reflection, Patricia O’Connell Killen and John de Beer. Published by Crossroad, New York, 1994. This is a very helpful guide for connecting our life experiences with our faith tradition.

In this new biography, Jo Ann Recker reveals the story of Françoise Blin de Bourdon (1756-1838) who, along with her close friend and spiritual advisor St. Julie Billiart, was co-foundress of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.  Up until now, Françoise has remained relatively unknown, even to those within her congregation.
