Partners in Action Luncheon

Summary

1 hour program – guaranteed! The brief, tightly scripted program is totally mission based. The emphasis is on the work of the Sisters in inner city Cincinnati.
We do NOT sell tables – there is no charge to attend the luncheon. We want people to come and learn first hand about the work of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. However, we do encourage sponsorships. We will use the logo of the sponsoring organization, print their name on the program and announce their name from the podium. Lead gifts are also welcome.
Yes, this is a fundraising luncheon. Following the program – within the one hour time frame – guests are invited to consider a gift, hopefully a five-year pledge. (Experience suggests if people give a gift for five consecutive years, they will continue giving.) However, there is no effort to pressure or embarrass anyone. If people choose not to give a gift, no one pursues them. Over the past six years, we have raised more than $1.2 million.

Communicate the Notre Dame mission as it relates to today’s world. Unfortunately, the emphasis on procuring adequate retirement funding for religious congregations has clouded the awareness that the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur are vibrant, mission orientated women who are actively engaged in relevant work with a strong future.
Highlight the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur ministries which serve Cincinnati:

• Inner-city school mentoring and personalized reading programs

• Adult education and parenting skills programs

• Rehabbed housing and home management programs for first time homebuyers

• Training programs providing basic employment skills for people who have poor track records getting and keeping a job.
Identify prospective partners that may consider contributing to the mission and ministries of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
Raise unrestricted operating funds for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
