PROPHETIC VOICE OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
Led by Louise Akers, SC
King was deeply committed to active non-violence in his struggle to help create a more just country. He referred to himself as a “drum major for justice.” In the words of black liberation theologist, James Cone, “He was a man endowed with the charisma of God; he was a prophet in our own times…” Using powerpoint, reflection and discussion, we will focus on where or how he received and developed the vision that changed our nation.
