(Gospel Acclamation)

“Blessed are you holy, Virgin Mary, deserving of all praise. From you rose the sun of justice, Christ our God.”

Reflection:
Just what was it about Mary that set her above all women and made her deserving of all praise? She declared that it was her “lowliness.”

Prayer:
Lord God, your daughter, Mary, praised you, “. . . for regarding the lowliness of your handmaid.” Perhaps it was her poverty that caught your eye.
