(Luke 19)

As Jesus entered Jericho, Zacchaeus, a tax collector, climbed a tree so that he could see Jesus better. Jesus noticed and went home with him for supper.

During the time of Jesus, tax collectors were hated yet Jesus took notice of them and often befriended them.

Lord God, one cannot help but admire the tenacity of Zacchaeus. You read his heart and loved what you saw.
