The Mount Notre Dame Health Center
Mount Notre Dame Health Center is home for 80 Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. It is comprised of two distinct communities, the independent living community (Marian) and the assisted living and nursing care community (Cuvilly). Both are designed to promote social interaction while giving the Sisters common and private spaces.
The design of the Health Center helps the Sisters continue to live their vocation. It has a chapel, oratory, and outdoor gardens - all of which are wheelchair accessible. There are also many lounges, living rooms and activity rooms where the sisters gather for games, conversation, to learn, to watch television and to join in a variety of community activities.
The philosophy of the Health Center is for each Sister to function at her highest level of independence. Services and activity programs are structured in a way to achieve that goal, according to each Sister's needs.
"The Sisters have dedicated their lives to developing, educating, and molding kids like me. I cannot and will not ever forget that."
