On October 20-22, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur Volunteers will head to coal country, and to Sister Kathy O’Hagen’s Big Laurel Learning Center in Kermit, West Virginia. Volunteers will split wood to help the people in the community prepare for winter. You will also learn about the richness of the Appalachian culture and the challenges facing the people of Mingo County. The group will leave Cincinnati on Friday, October 22 at 1 pm and return at 5 pm on Sunday, October 22.
Cost is $70 and includes lodging and food at Big Laurel Learning Center.
