Teilhard de Chardin, SJ, was one of the great 20th century mystics. Far ahead of his time, he found himself immersed in a profound experience of the sacredness of all life. His life story and his writings can inspire us to be attentive to the divine energy at work within us and in the universe.

Barbara Leonhard, OSF, is an Oldenburg Franciscan. She has a Ph.D. in Christian Spirituality from the Graduate Union in Berkeley. She is a former grade school and college teacher. She has done formation ministry both in her Oldenburg community and with the Franciscan Sisters of Mary in Papua, New Guinea. Presently, Barb teaches in a variety of settings: Spiritual Direction Internship in Beech Grove,and adjunct faculty member for St. Meinrad and in parish settings. She is a spiritual director and retreat leader. Barb has also enjoyed writing homily guides, articles and poetry for the St. Anthony Messenger Press.
